LOS ANGELES (March 17, 2017) -- Sen. Holly J. Mitchell, upper left, meets with members of Los Angeles-area chambers of commerce during one of her quarterly informal meetings with residents and business community members in her 30th Senate District she represents. Here, (at about 6:15 p.m., according to the wall clock at Michelle’s Country Diner on Marlton Avenue), Mitchell heard first-hand the concerns and needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. Among her questions were: What are the most important concerns to the local business community?; and what helps -- or hurts -- hiring qualified employees in Los Angeles? In turn, Mitchell talked about her role as the new chair of the Senate Budget Committee and shared some of her priorities.
