LOS ANGELES (March 23, 2017) -- Sen. Holly J. Mitchell is joined by her son, Ryan, as she receives the Public Service Award from the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce. "I brought him with me tonight so that he could see a roomful of successful African Americans, each of whom is a role model," she said.
The award has been historically awarded to those individuals who have made outstanding contributions leading to the overall economic development of African American businesses. GLAAACC’s primary mission is to advocate for the growth of small and African American owned businesses. (Photo by Charles Stewart/Senior Field Representative).
