SACRAMENTO (May 8, 2017) -- Rabbi Noah Farkas of Valley Beth Shalom, left, and Nancy Volpert of Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles present Sen. Holly J. Mitchell with its legislator-of-the-year honor, known as the Jerry Sampson Memorial Award, from the Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California. JPAC is the largest single-state coalition of Jewish organizations in the nation, representing Jewish communities and nonprofit organizations throughout California. The membership is comprised of Jewish Federations, Jewish Community Relations Councils, Jewish Family Service agencies, and many other Jewish community organizations. Read Sen.
