Continuing the March Towards Freedom and Justice

August 29, 2013

(Sacramento) -- California's State Assembly commemorated the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior's "I Have a Dream" speech that he delivered at the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom with a special ceremony and House Resolution 22. Assemblymember Holly Mitchell (D-Culver City) said during the ceremony, "Here in 2013, we're still marching because the goal still very clearly lies ahead...equality and economic justice for all."
