DOGGR supervises the drilling, operation, maintenance, and plugging and abandonment of onshore and offshore oil, gas, and geothermal wells, preventing damage to: (1) life, health, property, and natural resources; (2) underground and surface waters suitable for irrigation or domestic use; and (3) oil, gas, and geothermal reservoirs.

AQMD is the air pollution control agency for all of Orange County and the urban portions of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.  It is responsible for controlling emissions primarily from stationary sources of air pollution.

Help AQMD protect public health by calling 1-800-CUT SMOG (1-800-288-7664) to report excessive odors, smoke, dust, or other air contaminants.  Complaints can also be filed online at http://www3.aqmd.gov/webappl/complaintsystemonline/NewComplaint.aspx.

LARWB protects ground and surface water quality in the Los Angeles Region, including the coastal watersheds of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, along with very small portions of Kern and Santa Barbara Counties.  It seeks to increase the level of groundwater protection through permitting, monitoring, inspections and enforcement to ensure that groundwater resource remains available for use during droughts and for future generations.
