February 2020 Newsletter

A Note from Sen. Bob Archuleta

Dear Neighbor,

It’s been a busy and productive month since my colleagues and I returned to Sacramento for the current legislative session.

We were presented with Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposed budget that addresses the immediate needs of our great state to recover from the devastating pandemic by prioritizing a plan for vaccinating all Californians; assisting those out of work and in danger of losing their homes or facing eviction; and providing financial support to small business owners.

It also invests in education, funding a safe way to reopen our schools for our students and teachers, as well as focuses on the homeless crisis and the dangers of wildfires that devastate our state.

My colleagues and I are working to achieve a final budget that is fiscally responsible while meeting the needs of the state as we recover from this pandemic and move forward to a brighter outlook for all Californians.

In the district, my staff and I are continuing to help resolve issues our constituents are experiencing with EDD regarding their unemployment insurance and pandemic unemployment assistance benefits.

As always, please reach out to either my Capitol or District offices for assistance at 562-406-1001 or visit https://sd32.senate.ca.gov/.

God bless,

Senator Bob Archuleta
Thirty-Second Senate District

It’s a new day in America, as we support the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to bring our citizens together; to combat the deadly pandemic; to restore our faith in one another; revive our economy; care for our environment; and strive for social justice and equality for all.

I echo President Joe Biden’s words in his inaugural address – “This is America’s day. This is democracy’s day. A day of history and hope, of renewal and resolve.”

Congratulations to President Joe Biden, a dedicated public servant for five decades and a man of deep faith.

Congratulations to Vice President Kamala Harris, a proud daughter of California, and the first woman elected to the second-highest office in the nation.

May God bless President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris as they lead the way to healing our country.
