SACRAMENTO – Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) has announced the creation of a Senate Select Committee on Hydrogen Energy to provide an overview of the State and the progress of the hydrogen industry as California continues making use of emerging energy technology to help the State meet its clean energy goals. "Hydrogen energy will be an important part of our clean energy future, and exciting new technologies in that sector will pave the way for zero emissions vehicles and transportation in California," stated Archuleta.

Sacramento - State Senator Bob Archuleta’s (D-Pico Rivera) bill to improve the safety of illegal fireworks handling and disposal has passed the Senate, and is currently making its way through the Assembly.

Senate Bill 277, improves California’s safe handling and disposal of confiscated illegal fireworks by establishing an enforcement and disposal fund to better coordinate enforcement efforts between the State Fire Marshal and local agencies.

SACRAMENTO – As a member of the California Armenian Legislative Caucus, I am grateful and proud that for the first time in our nation’s history, the United States has formally recognized the Armenian Genocide on its 106th anniversary.

In the California State Senate, I co-introduced Senate Resolution 29 alongside Senators Atkins, Portantino, Wilk, Borgeas, Dahle, Durazo and Hertzberg to properly acknowledge the experiences of Armenians during this historical atrocity.

SACRAMENTO – Today, Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera), along with colleagues in both the State Senate and Assembly, submitted a formal letter to Governor Gavin Newsom applauding his efforts for enacting Executive Order N-79-20, which requires all in-state sales of new passenger cars and trucks be zero-emission by 2035, and heavy-duty vehicles by 2045. In particular, the letter highlights and applauds a critical element of the Executive Order; that it remains neutral on what technologies will be used to achieve this goal.
