Assemblywoman Holly Mitchell Set To Open District Office On February 24

February 18, 2011

Open house will feature works of art by 47 district residents.

LOS ANGELES, CA - Assemblywoman Holly J. Mitchell (D-47) is set to officially open her new district office in Culver City on Thursday, February 24, 2011 with a collection of art from residents of the 47th district as well as food and refreshments.

We are looking forward to a great turnout, said Mitchell. The people of the 47th District have demonstrated their passion time and time again, and I don't expect anything different at our open house.

Organizations and constituents within the district are all invited and encouraged to attend the event, where the Assemblywoman will give a small speech and meet with constituents in an informal atmosphere. The display of art works will rotate to new artists every three months in an effort to promote the talents of 47 district constituents.

Mitchell, a Democrat, was elected to the Assembly in November after defeating Republican opponent Lady Cage, replacing former-Speaker of the Assembly and current US House of Representative' Member, Karen Bass.
