Senator Bob Archuleta to Continue Leading California Military, Veterans and Clean Energy Policy

Sacramento, CA – Senator Bob Archuleta, an 82nd Airborne veteran, will continue to lead California’s efforts on behalf of military service members, veterans and their families, as the new legislative session has convened.

He will again serve as Chair of the Senate Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, where he consistently advanced policies supporting veterans, active-duty personnel, and military communities statewide.

“I thank Senate President Pro Tempore Monique Limón for her continued trust in my leadership as Chair of the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee,” Senator Archuleta said. “I also congratulate her on becoming the first Latina President Pro Tempore of the California State Senate, a historic and meaningful milestone for our state.”

In addition to chairing the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, Senator Archuleta will continue to serve on the following committees: Business, Professions, and Economic Development, Governmental Organization, Energy, Utilities, and Communications, Transportation, and Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management.

Senator Archuleta will also continue his work as Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Hydrogen Energy, reinforcing California’s transition to clean energy its goal of carbon neutrality by 2045.

He also sits on the Senate Special Committee on International Sporting Events: Olympics and World Cup Soccer.

Senator Archuleta has consistently leveraged his military background and legislative experience to strengthen public safety, emergency preparedness, veterans services and economic development across the state.
