In recognition of a beautiful and enduring union that began when two high school sweethearts met at Montebello High School in 1963, and blossomed into 60 years of marriage rooted in love, devotion, and resilience. This morning at the All Wars Memorial in Capitol Park, I stood alongside @sencarolinemenjivar, @asmjeffgonzalez, CalVet Secretary Lindsey Sin, and Vietnam Veterans of America–Sacramento leaders Greg McNeil and Patrick Graham to honor the true meaning of Memorial Day. The names of every Californian who made the ultimate sacrifice over the past year while serving our nation were solemnly displayed. It was an honor to attend the 60th Anniversary Gala of Armenian Mesrobian School and celebrate six decades of academic excellence, cultural preservation, and community service. I commend the school’s enduring mission to provide students with a strong foundation rooted in faith, identity, and education. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the administrators, faculty, students, families, and alumni who make this institution such a source of pride for Pico Rivera and the entire region.
