Senator Bob Archuleta Selects Mr. Rosewood Family Restaurant as the 30th Senate District Small Business of the Year 2026

SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) proudly recognized Mr. Rosewood Family Restaurant as the 30th Senate District’s Small Business of the Year in partnership with California Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC California).

Owner Jason Perez and his wife, Lisette Perez, were honored Wednesday, May 13, 2026, during a special SBDC California recognition dinner and were further recognized today, May 14, 2026, on the Senate Floor at the State Capitol for their dedication to serving the community and strengthening the local economy.

“Small businesses are the heart of our communities, and Mr. Rosewood Family Restaurant, in the City of Norwalk, represents the very best of the entrepreneurial spirit in the 30th Senate District,” Senator Archuleta said. “Jason and Lisette Perez have built more than a successful restaurant – they have created a welcoming gathering place for families and individuals who enjoy a good meal in an inviting environment. Their hard work, resilience, and commitment to service embody the values that make California’s small businesses thrive.”

The California Small Business Development Center Network is part of a nationwide partnership supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), providing free, high-quality counseling and low-cost training to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Through mentorship, technical assistance, and business development services, SBDC California helps businesses start, grow, and expand throughout the state.

Senator Archuleta praised the organization for its ongoing support of local entrepreneurs and emphasized the vital role small businesses play in job creation and economic growth across California.

The annual Small Business of the Year recognition celebrates outstanding businesses from legislative districts throughout California that demonstrate leadership, perseverance, and meaningful community impact.
