Senator Bob Archuleta Recognizes Kim Family for Its 30 Years in Commerce and Its Service in the Armed Forces

COMMERCE – The Kim Family has been a part of commemorating the triumphs and special occasions of those living in the city of Commerce for 30 years. SACRAMENTO – California Gov. Gavin Newsom Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, appointed State Sen. Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) to the Governor’s Military Council.
The Council’s mission is to provide a sustained focus on growing California’s defense and national security missions in state administration.
NORWALK CA – California State Senator Archuleta has secured $4.4 million needed for the city of Whittier’s multi-million dollar modernization library project. The money is part of the $214.8-billion budget, the largest in the state’s history, signed Thursday by Governor Gavin Newsom.
“I worked with the Governor and my colleagues in the Senate and Assembly to bring vital resources to improve the quality of life for those who work and live in District 32,” Archuleta said.
NORWALK CA – State Senator Bob Archuleta has secured nearly $400,000 for the city of Pico Rivera to improve three of its Parks and Recreation facilities. The money is part of the $214.8-billion budget, the largest in the state’s history, signed Thursday by Governor Gavin Newsom.
The money includes $200,000 for the replacement of the playground at Rio Hondo Park; $70,000 for the replacement of the playground at Veterans and Ladies Auxiliary Park, and $95,000 for improvements to the swimming pool at Smith Park.
Senator Bob Archuleta Secures $5 Million for the A.J Padelford Park Expansion in Artesia
NORWALK CA – California State Senator Archuleta has been in talks with the city of Artesia’s need for open space and parkland. A.J. Padelford Park is located in the low income community of Artesia and is in desperate need of an expansion. The park size has not changed since its development in 1973 and provides 0.47 acres per 1,000 residents which is significantly below the Los Angeles County average of 3.3 acres per 1,000 residents.

The local boys of summer from Whittier have been looking forward to this travel date for years. “It’s the talk of the town to play in the Cooperstown All Star Championship, Coach Michael Celiz said.
“We have been preparing the team since they were five years of age and now at 12-years-old, they conquered and overwhelmingly so,” he added.
