Senator Archuleta Comments on Death of Monterey Park Officer Gardiel Solorio in Downey

PICO RIVERA, CA – Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera)  released the following statement following the tragic shooting death of Monterey Park police officer Gardiel Solorio while off duty in the City of Downey:

“I join our community in mourning the tragic death of Monterey Park police officer Gardiel Solorio while he was off duty in the City of Downey. I extend my sincerest condolences to his surviving parents, fiancée and extended family members. This young officer was taken too soon from us, and I hope that law enforcement is able to apprehend those responsible for this senseless crime.”
