Saturday, October 11, at 12:01 AM Marks the Annual Ruck March for Veterans

Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) is proud to recognize the Veterans March, organized by veteran Gus Arenas in memory of his fallen friend and in honor of all veterans who have lost their lives to suicide across the nation. The number 22 holds deep significance, symbolizing the estimated number of veterans who die by suicide each day in the United States—a powerful reminder of the urgent need to support mental health and suicide prevention efforts among our veterans.

“While research may vary on the exact numbers, whether it’s 22 veterans a day or one every 22 minutes, what remains undeniable is that suicide continues to impact our veteran and military communities,” said Senator Archuleta. “We must continue to raise awareness, represent those who are struggling, and ensure our veterans receive the support and assistance they deserve.”
