Senator Bob Archuleta Comments on 2023-24 State Budget Proposed by Governor Newsom

SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) released the following statement on the 2023-24 state budget proposed by Governor Newsom today:

“The legislature’s last decade of responsible budgeting has ensured that California has the financial reserves to weather economic uncertainties, and protect the progress we have made in funding our most critical investments in education, health care and essential services. I look forward to working with the Assembly, my colleagues in the Senate and the Governor over the coming months to continue crafting a budget that protects our progress, core programs, and strengthens the quality of life for Californians.”

Senator Bob Archuleta currently represents the 30th Senate District, which includes portions of Los Angeles County and Orange County. He is the Chair of the Senate Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs, and a member of the Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee, Government Organization Committee, Transportation Committee, as well as the Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management and the Senate Select Committee on California, Armenia and Artsakh Mutual Trade, Art and Cultural Exchange.
