PICO RIVERA CA – State Senator Bob Archuleta has secured $365,000 for the city of Pico Rivera to improve three of its Parks and Recreation facilities. The ceremony took place at Rio Hondo Park at 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 8421 San Luis Potosi Place, Pico Rivera, CA 90660 with children, city staff and elected officials.

The money includes $200,000 for the replacement of the playground at Rio Hondo Park; $70,000 for the replacement of the playground at Veterans and Ladies Auxiliary Park, and $95,000 for improvements to the swimming pool at Smith Park.

ARTESIA – State Sen. Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) joined the Artesia City Council at the community event celebrating the $5 million he secured for major improvements to A.J. Padelford Park that will address the city’s needs for open space and parkland.

He joined Artesia Mayor Tony Lima, Mayor Pro Tem Miguel Canales, Councilmembers Ali Taj and Melissa Ramoso, as well as residents, Lakewood Sheriff Station’s personnel and other dignitaries for the presentation of the ceremonial check and the ribbon-cutting program for the new picnic shelter.

MONTEBELLO – On par with Governor Gavin Newsom’s announcement for more housing throughout the state, State Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, took part in a ribbon-cutting for new townhomes in the Thirty-Second Senate District.

The senator congratulated local developer Arnulfo Ruiz, owner and president of Montebello-based Niteam Corporation for turning a once blighted piece of property into the American Dream for eight families.

NORWALK CA – California State Senator Archuleta has secured $4.4 million needed for the city of Whittier’s multi-million dollar modernization library project. The money is part of the $214.8-billion budget, the largest in the state’s history, signed Thursday by Governor Gavin Newsom.

“I worked with the Governor and my colleagues in the Senate and Assembly to bring vital resources to improve the quality of life for those who work and live in District 32,” Archuleta said.

Senator Bob Archuleta Secures $5 Million for the A.J Padelford Park Expansion in Artesia

NORWALK CA – California State Senator Archuleta has been in talks with the city of Artesia’s need for open space and parkland. A.J. Padelford Park is located in the low income community of Artesia and is in desperate need of an expansion. The park size has not changed since its development in 1973 and provides 0.47 acres per 1,000 residents which is significantly below the Los Angeles County average of 3.3 acres per 1,000 residents.
