As Trump Pulls $4B from California High-Speed Rail, Local Leaders Get Creative to Advance Transportation, Safety, and Economic Growth

MONTEBELLO, CA – Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) has secured $1.5 million in state funds for fire protection infrastructure upgrades in the City of Montebello and its proposal to construct a dedicated Wildland Brush Fire Station.

The project is in response to newly released Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) maps designating large portions of northern Montebello as moderate, high, and very high fire hazard zones.
