It has been a pleasure serving as your State Senator on behalf of communities in Los Angeles and Orange County, and a productive last couple of months as my fellow State Senators and I passed a state budget that delivered multiple budget wins and funding for our communities, and I was able to send eight bills to the Governor’s desk.
SACRAMENTO, CA – Eight bills authored by Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) and passed by the California Legislature to address issues ranging from veterans affairs to public safety have been signed into law by Governor Newsom.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Senate Bill 1111- the Rick Best Safety Act, authored by Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) which requires any trash receptacle larger than 3 feet to have reflective fluorescent taping to increase roadway visibility as they await pickup by waste haulers, was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom.
